Australiawide and Detlef restored my faith in Boat Brokers. I was advised on boat condition along with pictures and purchased sight unseen. When i took delivery i was not disappointed. Boat was probably better than what was described and as a bonus the owner added nav and sounder gear which was not inclusive in the initial sale inventory of which Australiawide passed on to me. Whilst the purchase price was no more than a good tinny the service was no less than if i was spending a million. Highly recommended 150%.

From the moment we entered the Australiwide Sales office we received excellent service from Detlef Bauer. He identified precisely what we were looking for and the characteristics we were hoping to avoid. He narrowed our choice down, without wasting our time showing us boats beyond our price range.

We liked what we saw and on the day of the survey Detlef then gave us the best test sale you could ever hope to receive with a few hours on the water racing in the ‘Wednesday Afternoon Go Sailing'(WAGS). With his skill on board, we crossed the finish line first. Suffice to say we bought the boat!

With such great service and information delivered by the staff at Australiawide I concluded that their service was second to none!

The first time we contacted Australiawide we expected more of the same. Imagine our surprise when we were greeted with a friendly, professional response and honest answers to our questions!

The boat was everything we expected and more so we settled the sale within 3 days with the intention of returning within the month and cruising back to Tassie. Every step of the way the service remained second to none.

We made a quick trip to Australiawide in Manly QLD all the way from Melbourne ,to inspect "SARNIA" a 35′ Millkraft circa 1959.
With only limited time available to us, Euan was willing to "go the extra mile",was helpful, professional, very knowledgeable about timber vessels and went out of his way to assist in getting answers to our multitude of questions.

The good news is that she has found a great home – and your words explaining that “you don’t own a boat like the Margaret C, you become her custodian” were wise indeed.

Being a part of an interstate buying syndicate, I was given the task of ensuring the vessel met our group needs. To sail once again across the Coral Sea from Vanuatu to Australia in order to sell our Hunter Legend 43 "Rivendell II" there was not an easy decision to make for Nelleke and me in spite of the usually fair winds and following seas along that route. Besides the prospect of having to bid farewell to our beloved cruising companion of 17 years we were quite intimidated by the prospect of having to import her into a country known for its complex and strictly enforced quarantine and customs regulations.

Fortunately, one of our Australian friends and fellow cruisers strongly recommended that we contact you and your company. While we were still in Vanuatu, you immediately started giving us highly valuable and detailed advice regarding the whole process. Once we arrived in Newport marina, not only were you there to catch our dock lines but you soon made us feel like we were family by putting us at ease with constant help, to-the-point professional advice and invariably good cheer! Although you rarely seem to use the famous Australians expression "no worries, mate", that is exactly how you managed to make us feel!

Now, a few months later, you just sent us the final settlement papers for Rivendell II’s sale to a very friendly Australian cruising couple and both Nelleke and I are delighted to see them start taking care of our trusty seahorse. As usual, all the paperwork and financial details were exactly as promised and agreed, or even a bit better than exepcted. Please don’t hesitate to have potential future clients contact us for reference or recommendation purposes, particularly any US cruisers who might be intimidated by having to import their vessels. My Endeavour 26 was in urgent need of a paint job, but I had just bought another boat and I now had two just six weeks to sell my “not so pretty” Endeavour.

I called into the Manly Australiawide office and spoke with Detlef. I showed him the boat, we talked about a price and I left. I checked the Austrailawide website next evening and there was my Endeavour with a great selection of photos and a very well worded advertisment.

Two weeks later Australiawide called me, this time it was Ivan on the phone. He said he had a buyer, I agreed to their offer and the deal was done.

During those two weeks I dropped into the Manly office on a number of occasions and I would like to make the point of saying that, from my initial meeting through to settlement, both Detlef and Ivan from the Manly Australiawide office were exceptionally helpful and extremely professional.
