Details
'Lonely Sea' is an exceptionally well built 37' Australian registered blue water cruiser. Built in Western Australia, her hull is based on a Moody 37 mould and then custom built with the deck, sail plan, topsides and interior to suit the original owner's centre cockpit desires. Her loving owners of five years have had her her hull professionally taken back to bare fibreglass in 2019 and re-epoxied etc, and with recent antifouling applied March 2024. Her 50hp Perkins was reconditioned in 2022 and has since added 153hrs. She comes with electrically operated hydraulic winches, new upholstery, water maker, bow thruster, new tender davits and 2019 standing rigging. Other features include, 196cm of headroom in the saloon, good sails, electrics and electronics, a new wind generator, new tender, solar panels, and a hard dodger / bimini which can be enclosed.
She would suit a cruising couple or small family looking for a vessel in excellent condition, presented beautifully and in sail away condition.
With her robust build, recent upgrade and lines leading back to her deep, spacious cockpit 'Lonely Sea' inspires safe, comfortable voyaging and perhaps - a classic poem.
I must go down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky,
And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by;
And the wheel's kick and the wind's song and the white sail's shaking,
And a grey mist on the sea's face, and a grey dawn breaking.
I must go down to the seas again, to the vagrant gypsy life,
To the gull's way and the whale's way where the wind's like a whetted knife;
And all I ask is a merry yarn from a laughing fellow-rover,
And quiet sleep and a sweet dream when the long trick's over.
