The North Shore Fibreglass 27 was produced after numerous requests to builder John Buck for a larger version of his Cole 23. When Peter Cole was unavailable to develop the follow up boat for John's company, John and his team built the NSF27 a heavier, more stable cruiser race that the Cole 23. Launched at the 1979 Sydney Boat Show and by the end of that year 20 had been sold. Now known as the Northshore 27, this 1985 example still shows why it was so popular. Plenty of room, racey design (for it's day) and an exceptional vessel under sail particularly in medium to fresh winds. Whilst she presents well, "Sugar & Spice" is due for both an antifoul an upgrade of electronics and lighting. She is though, a very comfortable cruiser, with plenty of cockpit space, a lovely engine and sails and can easily be sailed short handed.
