Sandpiper is well known to us here at Australiawide Boat Sales, having sold her 2 owners ago back in 2008. We were impressed then with the quality of this boat and are delighted to find her in 2023 in exactly if not even better condition. Sandpiper has undergone some excellent upgrades. 2017 saw her hull peeled back and have vinylester and new epoxy (5 coats) applied. In 2020 she's had a new 20hp Nanni diesel fitted and in 2021 all new standing rigging was installed. The saloon is bright and welcoming, with plenty of seating, good size galley, and enough space to sleep 5 with ease. There is an abundance of dry storage both below and in the cockpit and she offers a very nice sail wardrobe with a battened main and furling genoa, along with 2 spinnakers, tri sail, storm jib and spare headsails. Built as a wonderful all-rounder, easy to handle and comfortable to sail short handed or if you prefer, fully crewed and competitive. Either way her lifting keel offers both the flexibility of sailing in shallower waters and along with her tabernacle mounted mast, she is light enough to be trailered. She has over the past years been converted to wheel steering but for those who prefer tiller, she has all the fittings in place, along with an ST1000 tiler pilot) to revert back to tiller if desired.
Whilst she would make a delightful weekend cruiser or fun racer, she is more than capable and has on numerous occasion proven to be, a safe and comfortable coastal cruiser. * Please note: Sandpiper is booked to be slipped and antifouled from 4th of September 2023 and will be unavailable for an onboard inspection until after the 8th of September, though if seeing her out of the water appeals, please phone our Australiawide Boat Sales, Manly Qld office to arrange an inspection day and time.
